Self portrait time!
On Tuesday night, Jeremy and I spend our first night apart since the night before our wedding. Why? Because I was at the sleep study lab to find out if I have sleep apnea, which I do.
I arrived at 7:45 and was shown to my bedroom. It was nice - full size bed, recliner and a flat screen tv. After another consultation, Jim started to wire me up. I had wires "glued" to my scalp, chin, close to my eyes, chest, and legs. Then I had a monitor strapped to my chest and one strapped to my stomach. This whole process took us to about 10:30 where I was then allowed to go to sleep. (Jim also had to do this to the guy in the room beside me which is why it all took so long)
Sleep. It was so hard to do. I had anxiety about being there, I had anxiety about being in an office at night with 2 other guys, I had anxiety about my electrodes coming off and I had anxiety about trying to make myself go to sleep.
At 4:30 Jim woke me up, took my electrodes off, and sent me home.... at 4:45AM! After sleeping for maybe 3 hours total, he woke me up and sent me home. I was terrified the whole way home because I was so tired, didn't really know where I was and it was still dark outside (obviously).
I made it home safely with just enough time to go to the bathroom and wake Jeremy up to go to work.
